Which Child?

Which child of mine to talk about first?
Creed is truly a character. A very silly boy. These pictures are some moments in the last few weeks. Some guys came to take an old fridge away from our garage and Creed came running out in Greg's big shoes and dressed like a super hero. I could see the men laughing at the silly kid. Then one night Creed grabbed his shoes with no socks and rode around the driveway on his bike, in his underpants. Then he wore his piggy nose from preschool all afternoon. And then just being silly in sunglasses on the deck.

Giant baby! This photo makes him look huge and chunky. Although Bodie is kinda huge and chunky. He is a thick one. He can sit on the floor with toys for hours a day and be happy and play. I don't think he'll be crawling anytime soon. He just about has his 4th tooth in. And loves watching Creed and loves balls.

One day, Jax decided to make a Sponge Bob puppet. In the picture below you can see his art work. He wasn't looking at anything when he did it. I was so impressed with the detail he remembered when he drew and colored these (like the Pineapple house). And I was so impressed how well he cut them out, especially the jelly fish. He creates things all day long. He is always asking me for the scissors, tape, hole punch, and string. You name it. He is very creative.

Jax also had his first Twinkie this week. He really liked it. Creed didn't. I'm not a fan either. So I had to ask a classic kid question to Jax. How did the cream get inside the Twinkies? He thought for a second and said "they make the bottom, then put the cream on it. Then they make the top. And put the top on the cream so it's all sticky and it sticks to the bottom." voila!
Another Jax thing is he loves watching the Brady Bunch. It always comes on after Curious George that they watch while I make dinner. He loves it and has to record it if it's time to eat so he won't miss it. He loves all the kids.

Special Weekend

Here are some pictures of the weekend. We had grandpa Bangerters viewing, funeral, and burial. It was a special couple days. Lots of family, and neat stories that I'll keep in my journal. If a funeral weekend can be great, then this one is a great one.
Here's the photo explanation: We stopped by g-pa/g-ma's farm in Alpine to take some family pictures. And then the grand kids did a special flower arrangement. It has a saddle on the bottom with some pictures of a few of the grand kids riding with their grandpa and says "thanks for the rides". Greg was the picture on top. Loved it!
Then on Saturday after the funeral we headed up to Salt Lake and we picked up the rest of our kids and went to the cemetery. (We took Jax to the funeral) the pallbearers carrying, and Greg lifting Creed to put a rose on the casket.
The flowers on top of the casket said "Meu Bem" My Dear & Eternal Sweethearts (from grandma.) Then the folding of the flag. Jax and Creed (dropping grass) watching. And the last is Greg and his boys. He grew up and was always with his bro. Rick, Shane, Greg, & Chad. (his cousins)

Greg's Hero

Greg's grandpa passed away and his funeral is this Saturday. Click on this title to link to an article about him.
William Grant Bangerter.

Greg says he will always be a hero of his. He looked up to him for so many reasons. He taught Greg how to work the farm in Alpine, how to work with and ride horses. Yeah, Greg was and can be a cowboy. "In so many ways he was The Man." Greg is always telling me stories of his grandpa. When he was camping, on the farm, or when grandpa was a Gen. Authority. How wonderful to be part of his posterity. Greg is the 3rd oldest of 65 grandchildren.

I have always liked grandpa's smile. Greg and I have noticed when Jax was a baby and now Bodie would smile, they look like Grandpa Bangerter when he smiles. Jax was great grandchild #25 and now there are currently 66. I think, that number is constantly growing. I am glad that Jax will have a few little memories of him. He is very aware of Great Grandpa. He always has questions about him. He's learned to walk right up and ask g-pa a question. Like if he can have his Harmonica, which grandpa let him see and try using. Or once grandpa had his wallet out for some reason, and Jax sits down next to him and starts going through it with him and asking questions about the stuff in it. So cute.

Grandpa Bangerter was the one who married Greg and I in the temple, That was very special. He will be missed. We were all so blessed to have known him.

*My Guy* -Flash Back Friday

Who's the weird one stashed away in the plastic bin? The one and only Greg. This was Sept. of 2004. Just a silly moment captured on camera. I have lots of silly Greg moments. I narrowed down to just a few for your entertainment. I pulled out our first albums together. Right after we were married, the first year or two.

So this is all about my guy. My Greg. My honey bunny! I'm awful and can't pronounce his name correctly. I do try so hard but it always comes out, Graig. I don't know why.
Now as for this next collage of pictures... all silly-ness by Greg. Sick in bed the week after we were married. Feb. 2003, then Nov. 2004 doing a funny "movement", then Aug. 2003 being cute in bed, then the last is Apr. 2004 with a pillow case tied around his head. Don't ask. But I will say that he is always a joy. He makes me laugh. He has a silly side. And I love it.

July 2004 - Falling asleep anytime he feels he needs a nap. And just a typical silly face by Greg.

Oct. 2003. I was so proud of my hubby. This is us when he got sworn in as an attorney. And if you know Greg, you'll know he gets with his gang and plays BBGun Wars. I went to a few, only a few. :)
I am so glad he is mine. He works hard and plays hard.

Here's a fun little questionnaire I saw...

Me and my guy~
1.How long have you known each other?
Almost 8 years.
2.How long did you date?
Over 3 months, then engaged 4 months = 7 months I guess.
3.Who eats more sweets? Um Yeah - that would be me. Although he does love chocolate.
4.Who said I love you first? I did, over the phone 2,000 miles apart.
5.Who is smarter? I would say him, but we are both smart, right?
6.Who can sing better?
He can sing, I just pretend.
7.Who does the laundry?
Me, me, and more me.
8.Who pays the bills?
He does it all now. And I appreciate so much!
9.Who mows the lawn?
Never me, always him. I have Hay fever, that’s my excuse and I’m stick’n with it!
10.Who cooks dinner?
pass
11.Who drives? Most of the time it’s Greg behind the wheel.
12.Who is more stubborn?
We both can take credit for that!
13.Who kissed who first?
Greg kissed me, and I certainly kissed him back.
14.Who asked who out? He did, and actually used the phrase “If your amenable to that suggestion?”
15.Who picks the restaurant or movie most? I can say that is totally equal.
16.Who is more romantic? That would be my Greg. He gets me flowers, breakfast in bed, writes me poetry, he can be so great!
17.Who has changed more diapers? Are you kidding? What kind of a question is that?

*Our Easter*

We had a lovely Easter. Friday night we dyed the hard boiled eggs. I'm proud that none of them cracked. The boys LOVED it. I have always loved doing it. And luckily on Sunday we had help in eating lots of the eggs. My favorite kind of eggs are the Mini Cadbury Chocolate Eggs. :)Some of my family came over for dinner. My mom made the fun sunflower cake. We ate, relaxed, the kids played and played. It was a fun evening. And the whole day was great. Greg called it a "Pillow Day". We watched conference and didn't have to go to church. Maybe I should say, we didn't get to go?
Well it's time to be putting away the decorations. But now I have nothing to put out until the 4th of July!! How boring.

Blog Book!

I am so excited to share about my blog book I made. I just had it printed. The last 2 years of this blog. It's a perfect journal. I love it! I will love being able to read it to my kids. And have anyone in the future enjoy it too. You know, like daughter-in-laws, grandkids. It will be great. Here I am enjoying it with Bodie. And here are a few example pages of how it turned out. I heard about blog2print. I signed up quickly and easily was ready to get it printed, but I didn't like how I couldn't control where the pictures went in relation to the text. Nothing was matching up. And I'd heard about Blurb. So I downloaded it and decided to try out a few pages to see if I wanted to spend the time to lay it all out. Then I stuck with it. It took about 2 weeks. I'd work on it whenever I had a chance. Probably 4-5 hours worth to get it done. But I am VERY pleased with it. I'm so glad I have it now! I'm sure people will ask. So... I had about 100 pages and it cost about $48 with shipping. I'd recommend it in a heart beat! Sorry about the flash glares.

~Pretty~

What a pretty ring. Jax saw it in the toy section and had to have it. So I told him he had to use his money. When we got home, he rushed to his room and emptied his piggy bank. He randomly counted and kept asking if it was enough. I told him he'd need 300 pennies. He gave me 23 cents. So we counted it all out correctly. He had enough. So back to the store to get his "jewel". He loves shiny things. And is always wanting jewels. So now he has a nice huge jewel. He was sad when Greg told him it wasn't real. But we let him know it is still a cool toy jewel ring. It looks real, ay? And then we briefly saw the Oscar's and someone actually had on a ring just like this one. Funny. Pretty Bodie. He is showing off his 2 teeth. He got them this last week. About a week apart. And he loves to feel them with his tongue. Then all 3 boys on St. Patrick's day wearing their green. Bodie does have green stripes on his pants. I'd hate for him to get pinched.
Pretty sky, pretty hubby, and pretty Shish kabobs! Greg just put the 1st batch on.

They were pretty dang good too! We enjoyed them with Celeste and Spencer. It's our favorite. Every few months we make them together. Sooooo yummy!

*101*

This is entry number one hundred and one. My last posting was #100. I should have mentioned the big number then, but forgot. So 101 is just as good.

Life is going on and on. Bodie is over 7 months old. He is such a delight. Truly he is. His brothers are good at keeping him entertained. After he ate dinner, they bring the toys to him to let him play. This is a small amount for his high chair.

For Christmas my sis-in-law Amy made all the boys in my family these super hero capes, with their own initial on them. So cute. I love Bodie's little one. After family night this week we put them on and I finally have a picture with all 4 of them together. Thanks Amy, so neat.
~
Well it happened, one of the fish we just got has died. Jaxon's fish seemed kind of sick the last week or so. Wasn't eating, chillin at the bottom of the tank. Greg and I knew it was coming. And we came home one night and it was upside down, dead. Jax came rushing over on the verge of tears, but he didn't cry. I helped a little by making it seem like it's ok, fish sometimes don't live very long. We warned Jax of this when we got him. Creed's fish has been growing bigger and was quite the bully. It literally pushed Jax's fish around and would hog the food. So Super G took the boys and Jax was able to get another fish. This time we made sure it was as big as Creeds. He chose a "tiger" looking one. I'll have to get a picture sometime.
Below is Greg helping Jax bury the fish. I tried to get him to just flush it, but Jax had to bury it. He even got a special rock to mark the spot. Then later in the day he grabbed a crayon and wrote a "J" on the rock. It was cute, he said he won't forget him (fishy) as we walked back into the house.

Ants Go Marching

So maybe it's embarrassing, but I admit that we have ants at our house. In our kitchen. Not very many but for the last couple of years at this time of year we get the little black things. In 2 spots. Luckily they are not near our pantry or dish cupboards. But by the back door and by our bar stools.
Anyways, so the boys love to watch them. We have our ant traps out, they work ok usually. I'll see a few ants a day crawl around the areas. I always kill them with a paper towel if I see them. And the other day Jaxon informed me that when he's grown up and has his own house he won't buy ant traps and he will let them live. Not spiders though. Just the ants. I suppose like pets? I just smiled at him and said, "uh huh, sure. Whatever you want". He said we need to get an ant farm so that we can keep them all. I say, um no.
Creed gets down on all fours and will mess with them and blow them around.
We had a little panic at our house this morning. Creed ate 2 Cheerios off the floor. And Jax told him that he's going to turn into an ant now. Because it might have had an ant on it. Creed got scared and panicky. But I assured him he will not turn into an ant.
*
We got them some fish a few weeks ago. The names are Fishy and Swimmer, but they call them both Fishy. They are still alive. So Jax thinks he's ready for more pets. But lucky me, I'm allergic to "real" pets. Dogs, cats, you name it. So I'm not heart broken that we can't get a dog. Jax has even promised me he'd keep it away from me. I just laugh and say sorry. I do the same thing to Greg when he mentions a dog.
And Jax is a little overboard with using scotch tape. He makes stuff every day, drawing and cutting. And tapes it all together. Or tapes it up in the house. And uses a ton of tape. I buy a 3 pack every 2 weeks or so. Crazy kid. The other day he made a paper chicken and several "little" things that he calls toys and he can sell them in a store. He told me, "I'm only a kid and I can work in a store and sell my toys (made out of paper) and then I can be President. He learned all about the Presidents at preschool, and has been making George Washington's and told me that now he wants to be the President. You go boy!
And the "Woody" he drew yesterday (from Toy Story) looks like a yellow Santa Claus. I love it!

six

6 months old already! We have a thick little chunk. I can't believe it. Time truly needs to slow down. He's 20 lbs. and 95 percentile for his age in height and weight. He is so happy all the time. It's strange. But I won't complain. The kid never cries it seems. He sleeps great, eats great, everything is just great. Bodie is just like Jax was as a baby. Happy go lucky. This is the face that will greet you every time you look at him. I love it! Did I mention he is such a happy baby. He has no desire to roll over or sit up on his own. But that just means I get to keep him in the baby stage for longer. Both his older brothers crawled early on and were walking by 10 months - so that's like a toddler and to me they weren't like babies anymore. So I'm relishing every moment with my little angel. As I often call him.

Update time - We have cut way back on Creed's speech therapy. He is doing so much better. He just cuts off the first part of every word. This week my favorites are...

Oh box, un way box = Oh Max, run away Max. (his little friend)
goggy icker = doggy sticker
ocket bok = chocolate milk
oh-cko puss = Cocoa Puffs
ook ax = look Jax
ohm airy = Tom & Jerry
picky bouce = Mickey Mouse

There are sooooo many more. But I can't sit and think of them right now. You can get the idea.
Creed started a young three's preschool class. He loves going to that of course. He always gets happy when he says his teachers name. He used to say Meleelee. But now he's better and it sounds more like Merilee. Before when he was in a play class and even now, he'll destroy any art work he does. I don't know why. He must not care yet?

Jax is LOVING preschool to death. As big as outer space - he says. He is a funny guy. I love his stories and ideas. He loves anything art. He'll draw all day long. Cut, color, you name it. He has been really great with Bodie lately. He'll want to hold him all the time now. Before he didn't really care. He loves to be near him. Although, nobody loves to be near Bodie as much as Creed. He's permanently attached.

Now if I can just get Jax and Creed to not fight as much as they do. Not just arguing or fighting over a toy. They full on attack each other and are throwing punches, trying anything to beat each other up? Help! It's out of control. And Creed isn't grasping the idea of a behavior chart for a reward. If I put a sticker up, I'll walk by and it'll be gone. He'll take it off and stick it somewhere else. Jax is all for it. Currently he's trying to earn a pet fish. Jax will come and tell me that he cleaned up for me. My room, the family room. He's all for it. He's always asking for a sticker for the chart.

Poor Greg is suffering from Vertigo. He's been feeling dizzy for the last few weeks. Luckily it's not bad enough to make him nauseated. Creed and Bodie got a little cold last week. Then Bodie's turned bad. We had to take him to instacare then the Hospital. He had labored breathing, his oxygen was low, but not low enough for hospitalization. We all thought it was RSV. But the test came back negative and it's just bronchiolitus. He's doing better, but it was scary.
And for me, um, well, let's see. Not much. Am I bad for eating a bunch of my children's school Valentine candy?

Happy Heart day!
