Good bye 2016. You were good to us! Hello 2017!
We had a little party with friends at our house this year. The Unguren's, Wheeler's, and Hardy's all came over. It started at 6pm and we played games for 6 hours. Well we ate and visited in there too. It was such a fun evening. All the kids had fun playing together and doing Rock Band and Just Dance on the Xbox around the TV. The adults couldn't get enough fun in with our games around the table.
We all gathered around the TV to watch the ball drop in NYC at mid-night. I loved the blurry pics I got of the kids during the countdown and then the cheering, screaming, and celebrating.
It was Rafe's first time staying up till mid-night. Bodie's 2nd time. And Rafe was totally into the count down. He was so fun to watch. And he knew right away to start hugging his brothers.
The next morning was Sunday and thank goodness we now have afternoon church. We all slept in until 9am and Bodie and Jax slept till almost 10:30! That is a first. I thought for sure Rafe would be up at 7:30am. So glad he slept. We're hoping this new year is as great as 2016 was. Time does need to slow down though.
