*Gregorian*

Is this the cover of GQ? What a sharp looking handsome man!
It says May is the 5th month on the Gregorian Calendar. How fitting that a long, long time ago Greg was born in May. So Greg had another birthday. Gosh, he's had so many. I saw this little cake and had to get it for him. Just because it was cute. We sang to him, blew out the candle, then left the boys and went to dinner. I am so glad Greg is my other half! In other news...
Creed finished soccer. He got his trophy. That's all he wanted and kept asking for week after week. Check out his "goalie" skills! Awesome. I had to bribe him with the team treats to keep him on the field playing. Otherwise he'd just wander off or see something else to do. Silly kid.

Creed on a rainy morning. I couldn't put the umbrella out the whole way because then he couldn't close it back up, which he kept doing. And he loves to ride his bike. He is a little speed demon on the big wheel.

Jax is done with preschool. Bring on Kindergarten! He was great for his little program. He totally got into it. He sang loud enough for me to hear. And did the actions, he was on top of it. I had no idea. He never sings at church really. I figured he's just not that into it. But I am proud of him. He loved school so much. He loved Ms. Janice. If he ever had to miss a day, he would be so sad and tell me he would miss out on making something (art) and learning. And will often play "preschool". He is the teacher of course. He is a cute one!

*MOAB*

Here's a tiny version of our family beneath Delicate Arch. Spectacular! I've seen it from a distant view point before. But I've never been right up to it. And wow! If you're ever there, you must see it! 2 weeks ago we camped for 2 nights in Moab. The 1st night it was pouring rain. Yucky! The whole weekend was so fun though. We went to Arches Natl. Park and hung out at the camp ground. We all hiked the 3 or so miles up to Delicate Arch. Greg and I were pleasantly surprised that our boys did the whole thing. Creed barely made it. They are troopers. Parts were quite steep and we had to kinda drag them. Jax had his trusty walking staff, that we brought all the way back home. And Bodie was content and dozed off on the way down.

Here's our group enjoying the view of the Arch and taking a break. We went down there with Greg's sister Andrea and bro-in-law Abe Denzer and their posse. (more Denzer's & the Balls)
We loved driving through Arches N.P. it is stunning. My favorite part is that it's small enough to see in a day. Or for us, a few hours. Great!Below is a close up shot of us under the Arch. We had to wait in a little line for our turn to get a picture. It's a popular place. But what National Park isn't? And then one of the many rests for Creed. By the end Greg was carrying him while he had Bodie on his back too. The boys in the pool with Uncle Abe and cousin Lucy. And then our campsite.

*tomorrow*

“The trick is to enjoy life.
Don’t wish away your days, waiting for better ones ahead.”
- Marjorie Pay Hinckley

I seriously need to take this advise sometimes. Lately I've really been feeling like I've "let things go" and am not being the mother I want to be. And I do want the days to be over, or for Greg to be home already. Ugh. I call him all too often at work and ask him to "save me"!

It's been 5 days of a whiny Bodie with a double ear infection. And finally I think we found some meds to actually help. Creed was a little sick, and now Jax is sick. It snowed yesterday. I have so many, many, unfinished projects. My house still needs major spring cleaning. The list goes on. And I find myself needing to take some more advise...

“In all of life, have much fun and laughter.
Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.”
-Gordon B. Hinckley
I do need to remember to just relax a little. And to not let my kids rule me. :)

And totally off the subject. I was soooooooo excited for U2's concert. My all time favorite band. It was supposed to be next week. Bono is injured and now we have to wait until 2011. I'm frowning.

Yo momma!

We finally graduated Bodie to the big bath tub. We've still been bathing him in the little baby one for the sink. He has out grown it big time. So we put all three boys in the tub together for the first time. They all had a fun time. It's funny how exciting it was for us parents as much as the kids. Jax had another grand art idea to make. He asked for a box and I said I didn't have one. But he went hunting and found a box to use. When I came in to help him put his sail in the box I had a good laugh at what box he found to make his ship. Jax didn't get why we had a good chuckle over his ship. I didn't even bother to explain it's the box he had used.
We've been up to...
Creed playing soccer. He was awesome the first few games. He loved it and was all over, kicking the ball up and down the field. I was impressed. And now, it's almost over and we have to talk him into going out on the field just to wander around. He's lost the motivation I guess. But he has some great facial expressions.

Master Jax. He's been wanting to take Karate. We signed him up for Tae Kwon Do. He L-O-V-E-S it. As much fun as it is to see my boys do their "things" I still wish I could be taking a girl to dance or something. :)
We had a play group go to the local fire station. We had a fun tour. The kids loved getting inside the fire truck. We were able to get some fun pictures. They said it would take like 30min. or so. And we left after an hour and a half. It was a fun time. Jax was playing "fire fighter" all weekend. Every time we got in our car, it was his fire truck heading to the fire. He had his big coat, the fire hat, his fire pants, everything. He was prepared. Kids are great!

~
Mother's are the greatest. I enjoyed the cute cards the kids made for me. Greg making breakfast in bed. And I appreciate the holiday for what it is. I feel it is special to honor the women of the world. I love my mommy. A word to describe her is selfless. She is amazing. And my mother-in-law is so sweet and thoughtful. They are both such great examples. I have been feeling a little down in the "mothering" dept. I want to be better, nicer, more loving, and especially more PATIENT. I want my boys to remember their mom as being so wonderful. So here's to another year of figuring it all out!

*Family Pictures*

Isn't it always an event when you try and get some pictures taken involving little kids? This is the only one with Bodie smiling. I think I like it best just because of that. or
I like the pose. But I wish Bodie was giving us his delightful smile. Some were taken on the side of our house. (Thanks Annie & Michael.)

This was taken on Grandparent Bangerter's farm in Alpine. Bodie wasn't ever looking at the camera and it was windy. This was the best selection. (And thanks Chad for taking some.)
